Walking in Toronto is wonderful year-round, and with spring about to show its true colours the public sculptures, art, and landmarks are ready to be seen in a new light – with an addition. Toronto-based artist Luis Jacob’s “Jacob’s Ladder” is near completion at Berczy Park. Two giant hands of bronze will have rope intertwined, reflecting the age-old string game “Jacob’s Ladder”, and this latticed rope will provide a playground activity for climbing or even use as a net for badminton or volleyball. The work was commissioned by Toronto city’s Economic Development and Culture Division.

TalkWalk includes Jacob’s Ladder in its “Front and Centre” guided walking tour.
